Account Director - Enterprise

Job Description:

As an Account Director, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and cultivating relationships with key accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to expand and develop strategic accounts, identifying new opportunities while nurturing existing relationships. You will act as the main point of contact for clients and prospects, helping them to achieve their business goals through tailored technology solutions.

In addition to managing client relationships, you will lead the delivery team, ensuring that solutions meet both client needs and evolving market trends. This role requires a mix of business development, strategic relationship management, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Drive growth within large and strategic accounts, expanding into new areas and deepening relationships with existing clients.

  • Manage deals ranging from £500K to £10M, covering project services, consulting services, managed services, and IT outsourcing.

  • Lead networking, prospecting, and pipeline generation efforts to identify new business opportunities.

  • Oversee the bid management process, including deal-shaping, proposal writing, and financial modeling.

  • Negotiate contracts and commercial documentation with clients and partners.

  • Continuously enhance product and market knowledge to stay ahead of industry trends.

Account & Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with senior leaders within client organizations.

  • Build and maintain detailed client development plans, ensuring long-term business growth.

  • Manage and grow key accounts to maximize their full potential.

  • Monitor competitive activities within accounts and proactively prevent attrition.

  • Lead new business pitches and ensure the successful on-boarding of new clients.

  • Serve as the primary interface between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth project execution.

  • Collaborate with key vendors and partners to align solutions with client needs.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Account Management or Territory Sales within the IT industry.

  • Expertise in areas such as Cybersecurity, Networking, Cloud Computing (Azure/AWS/GCP), Data & AI, and Modern Workplace solutions.

  • Experience in strategic industries, including Financial Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Retail, is highly preferred.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to manage complex client engagements.

  • Experience managing major accounts at a senior or head office level.

  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
