Sales Manager – IT & Managed Services

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and mentor a team of Account Managers within a growing IT and Managed Services provider. This role is crucial in driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring the team delivers exceptional service and value to both new and existing customers.

As a key member of the commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing sales performance, coaching the team, and implementing effective sales strategies to maximise business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Account Managers to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Set clear objectives, performance metrics, and sales strategies to drive growth.

  • Provide hands-on coaching, training, and mentorship to enhance sales capabilities.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and revenue generation.

Account Management & Client Relationships:

  • Support Account Managers in maintaining and growing relationships with key clients.

  • Ensure a proactive approach to customer engagement, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Oversee contract renewals, negotiations, and client retention strategies.

  • Act as a senior point of contact for escalations and complex account discussions.

Sales Strategy & Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth across IT & Managed Services offerings.

  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to optimise lead generation.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to align sales objectives with overall business strategy.

  • Partner with technical and service delivery teams to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Team Lead, or Head of Sales within the IT & Managed Servicesindustry.

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of developing high-performing sales teams.

  • Experience in account management and client relationship management, particularly in B2B IT solutions.

  • Ability to drive sales growth, meet revenue targets, and develop long-term client partnerships.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Commercially astute with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and sales reporting.
