Account Manager
As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients valued customers. Your role will involve providing proactive and reactive sales support, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. You will be responsible for offering pre and post-sales information, introducing customers to innovative products and services, closing orders, and addressing any queries they may have.
One of the key aspects of this role is your ability to initiate conversations with potential clients. You will take a proactive approach in identifying new opportunities and work closely with virtual teams to successfully close deals. Collaboration is key, as you will be working closely with the Account Team, Internal Account Managers, and other colleagues to deliver exceptional results.
To thrive in this role, you need to be highly motivated, customer-oriented, and driven to achieve team targets and objectives. Strong negotiation skills are essential as you will collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery time scales. A comprehensive understanding of our products and services is crucial, and you will build strong relationships with manufacturers to stay updated on product roadmaps and the special bid process. Proactive selling will be a key driver of success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Work in an organised manner, following Quality Management Procedures.
- Play an active role in the team, providing support during busy periods.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with team members, customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Understand product and service opportunities that offer the greatest margin potential, working closely with Business Managers and Services teams to maximise gross margin.
- Actively work on closing your own Halo forecast, collaborating with external partners to create monthly forecasts and updating the team pipeline.
- Maintain punctuality and meet customers' deadlines consistently.
- Attend regular training sessions covering products, services, personal development, and sales skills.
- Participate in weekly and monthly team sales meetings to deliver forecasts and provide updates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ability to negotiate and sell at C-level.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering £500k GP or more over a minimum of 3 years.
- Examples of successful client deals and references from current trading clients.
- Ability to lead with a solution sales approach.
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and a strong team player.
- Effective communication and collaboration with suppliers, internal departments, and customers.
- Ability to work under pressure with a flexible attitude.
- Contribution to individual, team, and company targets and objectives.
In addition to the above requirements, the successful candidate should:
- Have at least 5 years of experience in a sales role within the IT Channel.
- Possess an understanding of M365, Outlook, and Teams.
- Adapt quickly to learn new tools such as Halo CRM and Hubspot.
- Demonstrate a wide range of understanding and knowledge of IT solution sales.
- Manage time effectively to ensure targets are met.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills as a front-facing representative to customers.
- Show personal drive for continuous self-improvement.

Salary & Benefits:
-£45k - £60k + commission
