Account Director
As an Account Director, you will play a crucial role as an external contact for our clients customers, providing both proactive and reactive sales support. Your responsibilities will include offering pre and post-sales information, introducing customers to new products and services, closing orders, and resolving queries. You will demonstrate the ability to initiate new client conversations and collaborate with virtual teams to ensure successful opportunities.
Working within a focused Account Team, you will closely liaise with Internal Account Managers (IAMs) and other internal colleagues to ensure a high level of service for our customers. Your role will require a strong motivation to meet customer needs and achieve team targets and objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery time scales.
You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all our products and services. Building relationships with manufacturers to understand product roadmaps and the special bid process will be essential. Proactive selling will be a key aspect of your role.

• Strong communication skills are required, as Account Directors will be speaking to colleagues within their team, colleagues within the company, customers, suppliers, and the manufacturers.
• Account Directors will need to understand which products and service opportunities offer the greatest margin opportunities. They are required to work closely with the Business Managers and Services teams to ensure that gross margin is always maximized.
• Account Directors will work actively on closing down their own forecast. This will involve working with their external partners to create a forecast for the start of every month. The team pipeline will also need to be updated throughout the month.
• Account Directors will need to be punctual at all times and be conscious of always meeting their customers’ deadlines.
• It is essential that Account Directors attend regular training sessions. The sessions will cover products, services, personal development, and sales skills.
• Account Directors will attend weekly and monthly team sales meetings to deliver their forecast and provide team updates.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Needs to be able to negotiate and sell at C-level
• Must have demonstrated a minimum of 5 previous years delivering £500k GP or more
• Must be able to provide examples of client deals they have been involved in
• Must be able to reference current trading clients and relationships
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead with a solution sales approach
• Must be self-motivated, tenacious, as well as a team player
• Must have the ability to communicate with and work effectively with suppliers, internal departments, as well as customers
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must have a flexible working attitude
• Must be able to contribute to individual, team, and company targets and objectives
• At least 8 years’ experience working in a sales role in the IT Channel
• An understanding of using M365, Outlook, Teams
• An ability to learn new tools (Halo CRM, Hubspot)
• Candidate that has a wide range of understanding/knowledge of IT solution sales
• Able to manage time effectively to ensure targets are met
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills as the front face of the business to customers
• Personal drive to continuously improve yourself
